Denon receiver that needed repair |

I purchased a Denon AVR 686s from ubid.com in July of 2006. It was a manufacturer-refurbished model and it came with a 90-day warranty from Denon. I was excited to get it because it met all of my audio and video requirements. Ubid’s shipping was fast and it came nicely packaged. I pulled it out of the packaging and immediately set up the receiver in the family room. It took me a few hours to figure out that something was wrong with it. The remote control sensor on the receiver was damaged so the remote wouldn’t work. The remote is required to perform the initial setup of the receiver. The receiver needed to be repaired. |

My TV's Extended Warranty Paid Off |
Tuesday, 14 November 2006 |
Long story short, I purchased an extended warranty from Best Buy for a 51in TV. The TV went bad and their first technician told me that the TV was still usable. I did not agree with him so I made Best Buy send out another technician. The second tech found a serious flaw with my TV. Best Buy replaced my 5 year old TV with a new TV. Always get a second opinion if you feel your extended warranty service isn’t adequate.

HTML to PDF in ASP or ASP.NET |
Friday, 10 November 2006 |
I use HTMLDOC to perform this function. HTMLDOC is opensource and it can be used in a MAC, PC, or UNIX environment. It can be used in client mode or in batch mode. I have experience with using HTMLDOC through an ASP shell on a Windows 2000 and 2003 server. I’ve used it to convert HTML reports to PDF that included a table of contents, images, graphs, and a title screen. To convert HTML to PDF using ASP, you need a compiled version of HTMLDOC that will run on Windows. HTMLDOC will supply the sourcecode, but you have to purchase the binaries or search for them using a search engine like Google.
